Workshop with The Catalyst Network

The Catalyst Network is a membership community of high-impact individuals who work on complex business and societal issues.

Greg Bernarda is a global citizen working on system-level change who advises leading organisations on innovation and works on cross-sector collaborations to address big societal and business issues.

A match made in heaven... So in late October, I seized the opportunity of Greg Bernarda’s visit to Melbourne Australia to get his help to design and facilitate with the Catalyst Network a 1.5-day workshop exploring the concept of a universal basic income (UBI), the future of work and the kind of society we want to create.

The workshop was sponsored by Josie Gibson, founder of the Catalyst Network, and co-designed with the Catalyst team of Fiona Ingram, Cass Spong, Greg Bernarda and myself. It was hosted in the beautiful EY's Design Studio in Melbourne. It generated wide-ranging and passionate discussions on the future among a very diverse group of individuals, and produced three projects to collaborate on in 2018.

Not only is the UBI topic fascinating in itself but it is also complex and exciting to be innovating on "how to design and facilitate for large change”. A critical field of exploration, for large organisations as well as individuals.
